The Skisherman award winning short documentary

At night and in conditions that send most fisherman indoors, Frank Blasko is heading out to ride the rip currents of the Atlantic in search of the perfect catch. Skishing, a contraction of skiing and fishing, is an extreme form of fishing practiced by a handful of hardcore surf casters off the shores of Montauk, NY. So called because in their natural environment, a large striper has the tendency to drag you around before it will let you reel him in, skishing carries the very real risks of getting hit by a boat, eaten by a shark or any of a number of other dangers inherent to venturing into the sea.
