In 2011, Jed Mildon made action sports history when he became the first person in the world to land a triple backflip on a BMX bike. Two years on and with over nine million views on YouTube, Jed is looking forward to unleashing a host of new tricks for Nitro Circus Live’s Australian Regional Tour.
The twenty-six-year-old from Taupo in New Zealand, is a BMX maestro and one of the greatest athletes on two wheels in the world today. Jed has pushed the sport beyond what anyone thought possible and continues to attract legions of fans as a member of the world’s greatest action sports show, Nitro Circus Live.
Jed became part of the Nitro Circus family earlier this year, when he joined the crew for their tour of New Zealand. During the final show at Westpac Stadium in Wellington, Jed blew everyone away by landing the world’s first double backflip tailwhip – a trick that involves two backflip rotations and a BMX tailwhip.
“We hoped that Jed would bring something special to the table in New Zealand and he certainly didn’t disappoint,” said Nitro Circus Live Promoter, Mike Porra. “In front of 12,000 screaming, local Kiwi fans he pulled a world first and one of the greatest BMX tricks anyone of us had ever seen.”
Jed will now perform in select shows for Nitro Circus Live’s Australian Regional Tour including; Wollongong, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sunshine Coast, Townsville and Rockhampton.
“Jed has certainly earned his place on the Australian Regional Tour and we’re sure he’s got some amazing stunts up his sleeve for Aussie fans,” said Porra
