The Wedge in action brought to you by Air Reel Productions. Drone aerial shots with new angles. Big waves turned into floodwaters last week along the Southern California shore as Hurricane Marie stirred up the surf from far asea. Beachfront properties were inundated with saltwater, and the storm-roiled Pacific knocked out a piling at Malibu Pier. The sea breached oceanfront walls to flood streets and homes. Beachgoers reveled in the big waves at The Wedge in Newport Beach, with crowds egging on bodysurfers brave enough to take on the big surf. Lifeguards on both sea and shore kept a watchful eye on the crowd.
