Inside Lacrosse Announces New Hires and Staff Promotions
BALTIMORE, MD — Inside Lacrosse is pleased to announce the recent expansion of its staff with six new hires. Joining the Inside Lacrosse team are Amy Weinstein Flynn, Director of Sales; Ashley McCulloch, Assistant Director of Events; Halley Quillinan, Women’s Editor; and Sean Foster, Web Developer. Along with those staff changes, Inside Lacrosse recently promoted Dan Flynn to Director of Events and added long-time IL contributor Ty Xanders as full-time Recruiting and High School Coordinator.
Dan Flynn joined the Inside Lacrosse staff in 2008. In his role as Director of Events, Flynn primarily oversees the event arm of IL and helps guide business development. Flynn has more than 20 years of experience working in marketing, sales, fundraising and public relations, including 15 years in college athletic departments at four lacrosse powers. Flynn received both his undergrad and MBA degrees from Johns Hopkins.
As a long-time contributor to Inside Lacrosse, Xanders now joins the IL team in a full-time position as the Recruiting and High School Coordinator. Xanders has helped handle all player and team rankings and covered recruiting events and college commitments nationwide, in addition to helping out with Inside Lacrosse’s magazine and online coverage of the college game. In his new role, Xanders’ duties will include continuing to cover the high school and recruiting arms of IL, running the @ILPreps Twitter account, helping out with IL’s Recruiting Invitational and other editorial duties.

The breadth of these hires — events, IT, women’s, high school and recruiting editorial — speaks to all that we have going on at Inside Lacrosse,” said IL Vice President and Editor-in-Chief John Jiloty. “We’ve brought in some talented, experienced people and they’re going to really take our brand to the next level as we especially focus on re-launching our online network and growing our Inside Lacrosse Recruiting Series with events, TV segments and print and online content.”
Amy Weinstein Flynn, Director of Sales
Flynn joins Inside Lacrosse from IMG College, where she most recently was responsible for selling fully integrated sponsorship and media platforms for various college properties. She also worked on the consulting side with Velocity Sports & Entertainment and Octagon, and has lacrosse marketing and operations experience from her time with Major League Lacrosse, Millon Lacrosse and the English Lacrosse Association. A four-year starter and team captain for the Penn Quakers, Amy has playing and coaching experience at the high school, collegiate and international levels. She received her MBA and MSA from Ohio University.
Ashley McCulloch, Assistant Director of Events
Prior to joining Inside Lacrosse, McCulloch worked for the Washington Kastles, a championship World Team Tennis Franchise, where she held the position of Event Management and Marketing Coordinator. She has also worked with the LA Marathon and X Games. While earning her Masters in Sports Management at CSU-Long Beach, McCulloch interned with the Los Angeles Kings, Clippers and USA Beach Volleyball. Along with her sports industry experience, McCulloch brings a strong lacrosse background. She was a two-time All-American at Virginia, helping the Cavaliers to three straight ACC Championships. McCulloch finished her career third all-time in assists and eighth in points at UVa.
Halley Quillinan, Women’s Editor
Quillinan, a recent contributor to Inside Lacrosse and ILWomen.com, joins the staff full-time as Women’s Editor. She has relocated to Baltimore from New York City from her role as Junior Account Executive at Shadow PR. Quillinan was a member of the Syracuse women’s lacrosse team as well as the U.S. Women’s Team in 2008 and 2009. She holds many honors and awards, including: four-time All-American, four-time Big East Conference All-Star, two-time NCAA All-Tournament Team Honoree, two-time NCAA semifinalist and Big East Conference Academic All-Star.
Sean Foster, Web Developer
Sean Foster is a lifelong gamer born and raised in Baltimore, Md. In early 2006, Sean developed the website Gaming Console Network, an online media community devoted to console and mobile gaming. He is also a member of the Xbox Live Indie Developers scene. Sean most recently worked for Advanced Online Strategies as a web developer and SEO specialist, where he utilized his PHP and MySQL skills to build dozens of websites in Wordpress and other opensource CMS systems.
