USA Beach Handball Committee, with tremendous support from Dr. Thomas Rosandich, city officials in Gulf Shores, and the equipment grant from the International Handball Federation, were able to plan and organize the first annual American Open Beach Handball Championship (AOBHC) in Gulf Shores, Alabama, April 24-27, 2014.

During the AOBHC, they are holding the second IHF Beach Handball Masters Course and Certification for Coaches, Referees and Delegates. Once again the IHF is sending their best beach handball experts/lecturers:

The cost for the course is $50.

This first annual American Open Beach Handball Championship is OPEN TO EVERYONE and is the start of a wonderful new legacy for Beach Handball in the USA.

The mayor of Gulf Shores is sponsoring the medals and trophies for all three divisions: Mens, Women and Youth.  He is also contributing a special Gulf Shores Mayors Cup, which he will personally present to the champions.  After the event is over, the Mayors Cup will be displayed on a pedestal in the City Hall with the names of the three winning teams.

Third Place:     $250
