International top-rider confirmed Flachauwinkl
Next week it’s on: The international top elite of freestyle snowboarding will gather at Absolut Park, Flachauwinkl for Spring Battle 2014. On March 13th and 14th the boys are fighting for a split of the 50.000 US-Dollar prize money, valuable World Snowboard Tour points as well as the desired title. Will Mathias Weissenbacher and Clemens Schattschneider be able to profit from their home field advantage? For sure Seppe Smits (BEL), who was able to score the win the last three years, won’t make it easy for them!
But not only the Belgian will try to get a piece of the cake, also Absolut Park Rider Antoine Truchon (CAN), two times world champion Roope Tonteri (FIN), BEO winner Brage Richenberg (NOR), Olympian Billy Morgan (GBR) and Tor Lundström (SWE) have already confirmed their attendance and will do what’s necessary to try and reach the podium.
Already on Tuesday the 5 Star World Snowboard Tour Big Air contest will start with an open qualification, where the riders have the chance to save themselves a spot in finals. The one-of-a- kind set-up at Absolut Park, the international riders field and last but not least the live-video- judging at the after party will make Spring Battle one more time to a legendary event and therefore a constant date in the European contest calendar. If you can’t make it to the party at Festsaal Flachau, you have the chance to follow the action via webstream live on air.
